Horizont3000, in partnership with Caritas MADDO and Kolping Society Tanzania (KST), is seeking a passionate and experienced Project Management Advisor to support the TRACCSA (Transboundary Cooperation for Climate Smart Agriculture) project. This initiative is focused on strengthening climate change resilience and agroecological farming in the border regions of Uganda and Tanzania.
This is a full-time position based in Bukoba, Kagera Region, Tanzania, with a strong cross-border component involving Caritas MADDO in Masaka, Uganda.

About the TRACCSA Project
The Transboundary Cooperation for Climate Smart Agriculture (TRACCSA) project is funded by Euregio Tyrol / South Tyrol / Trentino through the Province of Tyrol. Its mission is to promote climate-smart agriculture based on organic and agro-ecological practices in three border districts: Kyotera (Uganda) and Missenyi (Tanzania).
The project aims to empower local communities through inclusive and sustainable practices that enhance resilience to climate change, improve agricultural productivity, and strengthen cross-border collaboration.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Management Advisor, you will work closely with the Kolping Society Tanzania (KST) team, focusing on:

Strengthening program management tools and systems

Coordinating cross-border collaboration with Uganda counterparts

Enhancing digital communication skills (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.), especially to close gender gaps in access

Supporting proposal writing and resource mobilization

Supporting the implementation of gender mainstreaming strategies
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Degree in Project Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field

Strong experience in project planning, execution, and partner organization collaboration

Skills in training and coaching, tailored to promote change ownership

Familiarity with Climate Smart Agriculture (agroecology, organic farming) is an added advantage

Knowledge of gender mainstreaming principles

Proficient in digital tools (MS Office, online communication, reporting systems)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Culturally adaptable with knowledge of Tanzanian and Ugandan local contexts

Fluency in Kiswahili is a plus

Open to Ugandan or Kenyan nationals (South-to-South cooperation model)
