Job Overview
The Advocacy Alignment and Risk Analyst will be a strategic enabler, ensuring consistency and cohesion in World Vision’s global advocacy and justice efforts. You’ll work across departments and regions bridging Field Offices (FOs), Regional Offices (ROs), and Support Offices (SOs) to foster alignment, strengthen internal policy coordination, and manage risks associated with advocacy activities.
This is not just an analytical role it’s a collaborative, facilitative position that calls for someone who can guide alignment processes, manage consultation frameworks, and contribute to knowledge-sharing in a large, dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
Advocacy Alignment & Internal Coordination

Facilitate cross-partnership alignment on advocacy messaging and strategic initiatives across FOs, ROs, and SOs.

Develop and manage tools, dashboards, and templates to support consistent advocacy efforts and policy alignment.

Monitor progress using defined indicators and develop quarterly tracking reports for leadership.

Support the Management Policy on Advocacy for Justice consultation and engagement process, including feedback loops and milestone planning.

Contribute to internal communications and knowledge-sharing systems related to advocacy priorities and values.

Develop and maintain advocacy alignment matrices to measure consistency with global policies.
Risk Identification and Mitigation

Conduct in-depth analysis of reputational, legal, political, and operational risks linked to advocacy campaigns.

Collaborate with internal risk, legal, and safeguarding teams to design and monitor mitigation strategies.

Track implementation of risk register recommendations in line with audit feedback.

Produce staff guidance tools on advocacy risk assessment and safe engagement protocols.
FO–SO Support and Partnership Integration

Work closely with Support Office and Field Office leads to strengthen advocacy request systems, feedback mechanisms, and documentation.

Analyze request trends to ensure responsive and strategic support aligned with global roadmaps.

Support the Local to Global initiative, including the rollout of the Advocacy Academy and facilitation of joint activities across units.
Communication, Training, and Knowledge Management

Support communications efforts by co-developing alignment messages for internal dissemination.

Collaborate with the International Communication Group and other Global Centre units to maintain advocacy messaging integrity.

Help produce internal training materials, presentations, and synthesis reports to inform and educate stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Risk Management, Development Studies, or a related field.

A Master’s degree is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.
Professional Experience

Experience supporting internal policy consultations and cross-functional coordination.

Exposure to risk analysis, stakeholder engagement, or knowledge management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent analytical thinking.

Experience in advocacy-related project management, preferably in international NGOs or nonprofits.

Ability to work across diverse teams, departments, and cultural contexts.
Technical Skills

Strong project management and facilitation capabilities.

Data analysis and reporting skills.

Familiarity with advocacy tools, policy alignment indicators, or audit/risk tracking.

Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
