Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Electrician, you will:

Attend safety briefings and follow all safety protocols
-
Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
-
Assist in investigating incidents and accidents
-
Adhere to environmental, health, and occupational safety standards
-
Support the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment
-
Help with cable and electrical component installations under supervision
-
Operate equipment (once trained) to support daily tasks
-
Conduct basic electrical safety checks and inspections

Assist in identifying faults and troubleshooting issues
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Form IV or Form VI Certificate (Ordinary/Advanced Secondary School)

Training: Electrical certificate from VETA or a recognized institution

Driver’s License: Valid and up-to-date
Experience & Skills:
-
Minimum of 1 year of electrical work experience, preferably in the mining industry

Knowledge of Mine Safety and Health regulations

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong communication skills in both Swahili and English

Ability to identify electrical hazards and risks
