Role Overview
IHI is seeking three qualified Assistant Nursing Officers (Research Nurses) to support the MMS-MAP Study in antenatal care clinics. The role involves direct engagement with mothers and infants, collecting high-quality data, and ensuring participants receive optimal care during the trial.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Nursing Officers will:

Participate in the research study in line with the protocol, GCP, and SOPs.

Safeguard the rights, safety, and well-being of study participants.

Recruit eligible participants into the study.

Conduct anthropometric measurements.
-
Collect blood and other specimens, and liaise with laboratory teams.

Provide counseling on psychosocial and nutritional issues.

Maintain participants’ privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Accurately complete study-related forms and ensure daily data entry per SOPs.

Participate in regular team meetings and contribute actively.

Build and maintain positive working relationships between hospital staff and IHI.

Undertake other tasks assigned by the supervisor or Principal Investigator (PI).
Qualifications and Experience

Diploma in Nursing (4 years) or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Must be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC).

Prior experience working in clinical research or antenatal clinics is an advantage.

Ability to use a laptop for data collection (MMS-MAP study).

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Excellent communication and writing skills.
